Tom Spring

Research Fellow
Tom Spring earned a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Oakland University in 2001 with a graduate certificate in Complimentary Medicine and Wellness.

Currently, Tom works as a Senior Exercise Physiologist/Program Supervisor for William Beaumont Hospital’s department of Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation, adjunct faculty with Oakland Community College, Owner of Cardiovascular Training Specialists, LLC, and director of ACSM Certified Personal Trainer workshops and Online Education for Fitness Resource Associates, Inc.

Tom serves as President of the Michigan Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (MSCVPR) and is a member of the ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Sub-committee.

He has presented abstracts, clinical case studies, keynote presentations, and invited symposia at international, national, and state scientific meetings and conferences, local chapter meetings, and community events. He has authored over 20 abstracts, invited reviews, scientific and peer-reviewed articles, and chapters for a variety of journals and publications and is a reviewer for the American Journal of Medicine.
