Using our patented Dual Axis Technology, CYBEX Eagle selectorized offers the option to train in either the machine-prescribed pattern of motion ... or to move in a different pattern ... on one which can be defined by the user.
Converging/Diverging Path of Motion Select Eagle units have converging/diverging movements which mimic the way the human body moves and allow for a more complete range of motion. The consistent torque around the joint reduces the stress at the joint often associated with dumbbell exercise.
Independent Movement Independent movement delivers a significant training advantage. By allowing the arms to move independently of each other, Eagle delivers the ability to balance the workout when one arm is weaker or injured which encourages symmetrical strength development. Independent motion also allows for bilateral reciprocal training.
Range Limiting Device (B) This CYBEX patented technology adjusts the machine to the user rather than the user to the machine. Regardless of the starting position selected, the cam remains synchronized with each individual user. CYBEX RLDs vary the leverage to maintain the correct level of force throughout the range of motion while taking into account each user's limits and abilities. Start RLDs (adjustable start only) provide start positions every 10 degrees. Total RLDs (adjustable start and finish) provide start and end positions every 10 degrees which are ideal for physical therapy in that it stops users before internal stress is too high. Eagle offers Start RLD as a standard feature and Total RLD is available as an optional feature.
Twist Select Weight Increment Selection (C) Patent-pending system allows users to adjust weight 5 lbs (2.5 kg) at a time with simple turn of knob - nothing to slide, drop, or lose. The Twist Select System is completely balanced for drag free operation and includes integrated oiling capacilities, resulting in reduced time and mess associated with guide rod maintenance. A large fluted knob is visible to the user and designed for easy grasp. Large numerals indicate incremental resistance
Adjustment Features (D) Eagle seat backs and bottoms are gas assist and adjustable with four-bar linkage. Like the weight increment knobs, users can adjust without leaving their seat. The external gas spring is provided for ease of service.Knobs are always positioned toward the user so they are easily visible. Big, bright, and yellow - you don't have to guess where to adjust the weight increment or leave your seat to do it.
Fully enclosed Weight Stacks (E) Fully enclosed weight stacks give a sleek appearance. However, they also shield bystanders and users from inadvertent contact with the moving weight stacks, part of the CYBEX commitment to creating a safe workout environment. CYBEX Eagle is engineered for safety and all strength products comply with ASTM and EN standards.
Best Use Drive System Three methods of transferring force are used by the vast majority of strength products - belt, cable, and drive shaft. Only CYBEX Eagle uses all three.
