Exercise and Aging

This course is designed to educate personal trainers on the general effects of aging. The first half of this workshop will examine the specific effects of aging on the various systems of the human body and how exercise can slow or prevent these processes. The second part will detail important considerations in exercise testing, objectives for exercise programs, and considerations for prescribing exercise for an aging population.

Attendees will understand general theories on the process of aging and how to theoretically apply exercise to slow and in some specific instances stop those processes.
