What types of video signals are the E3 View HD embedded monitors
Cybex E3 View HD embedded monitors are provided in two configurations to
serve various markets around the world:
- ATSC (digital) / NTSC (analog)
- DVB-T (digital) / PAL and SECAM (analog)
Cybex E3 View HD embedded monitors are capable of receiving
signals either from an antenna or cable provider, including High Definition
ATSC / NTSC monitors are capable of displaying non-scrambled ATSC (digital)
signals, non-scrambled QAM 64/256 signals and NTSC (analog) signals.The
monitor does not provide for decryption of scrambled, premium channels or
direct satellite feeds.
DVB-T / SECAM / PAL monitors are capable of displaying non-scrambled DVB-T
(digital) signals and SECAM / PAL signals (analog). The monitor does not
provide for decryption of scrambled, premium channels or direct satellite
When used with premium channels or satellite systems, a receiver is
required for each channel desired. These signals are then combined in a RF
modulator, amplified and distributed. Please consult with your AV, cable or
satellite provider for installation.
The E3 View HD embedded monitors are MPEG-2, H.264 (DVB-T only) and MPEG-4
(DVB-T only) compatible.
How must the facility prepare for the installation? What will
Cybex do for the installation?
We recommend that the customer consults with their local A/V
installation company to determine cabling needs and for proper installation
of video cable, and their electrician for installation of any additional
A video source must be available at the placement of each E3 View HD
embedded monitor equipped product.
The TV signal should be presented to the monitor on a double shielded, 75
ohm, low- loss coaxial cable (F-type connector).
The signal strength of the TV signal presented to the monitor should be
between 75dB/uV and 80dB/uV.
The signal may be split provided that the signal strength remains between
75dB/uV and 80dB/uV at the individual monitors.
All video and cable requirements should be installed prior to delivery of
the Cybex equipment.

How is the coaxial cable connected?
- TREADMILLS: The video coax connector is located at the base of
the unit in the front right corner (relative to the user
- ARC TRAINERS: The video coax connector is located at the front
lower frame cross member on the front right side (relative to the user
- BIKES: The video cable exits at the front of the main enclosure
on both the upright and recumbent bikes.
